Files Terminator Free is an application you can use to securely delete files, making them unrecoverable.

When you delete files in Windows, the file data still resides on the drive. The OS may eventually overwrite the data, but in a lot of cases files can be recovered very easily. You don't even need the best digital forensic tools to do the job, you can recover files with software that's available for free.

Files Terminator Free overwrites the disk space that is used by the file you don't want to ever be recovered. It has several shredding methods to do this. You can simply overwrite quick with pseudorandom data (which itself is more than adequate), of id you are more security conscious there are other multi-pass methods available, including British HMG IS5, two pass Russian GOST P50739-95, three pass US DoD 5220.22M, seven pass German VSITR, Canadian RCPM TSSIT OPS-II, Bruce Schneier and the 35-pass Gutmann method.
