Seal can password protect files, folders, USB devices and more, and it is available for free.

There are different levels of protection that it provides. "Normal Seal" will allow other programs to access protected files and storage, whereas "Power Seal" will only allow the Seal app to do so.

After an USB is sealed, all of it's files and folders become accessible only to Seal Explorer. Other files and folders can be copied to the USB but will not be protected unless they were pasted by paste features in Seal Explorer.

You probably shouldn't rely on Seal as the ultimate data protection tool, especially not in a commercial environment. However, it is more than adequate to use at home if you are just looking to keep your children and others away from your work files and other private things.

NOTE: This portable version includes no installer.
