PauseMe is a neat app that will help prevent eye strain by forcing you to take short breaks every 20 minutes.
It follows the 20-20-20 rule, meaning that every 20 minutes it will produce an overlay over your applications and block you from using them. A countdown timer will draw down from 20 seconds before letting you use your apps again. When the overlay shows up, remember to look away and even get up and stretch your legs a bit.
If you can''''t wait 20 seconds because you need to handle something immediately, you can double click on the overlay and it will disappear.
