It also offers a Backup & Restore feature which can backup the iTunes database each time the program is used. Later, the iTunes database can be restored to a previous version. The program will include track information for all of the music tracks it copies back from the iPod, including Cover Art, Ratings, Play count and all general tags like Title, Abum, Artist, Genre and more.
iDumpPod2iTunes can alter an iTunes database directly without needing to launch iTunes in most circumstances. In some cases where it is not possible, it will fire up iTunes. It uses a simple interface to achieve its task.
The download offers a 7 day trial use of the software before it expires. It supports iTunes 9 and iPhone firmware 3.1.2. You may need to download the .Net Framework 2.0 SP1 package during the installation if it is not present on your computer already.
